Just a few days ago, the Samsung Galaxy Fold was launched at the Unpacked event. Now there’s heat in the air with Huawei coming for Samsung. The company just launched its own foldable phone at the Mobile World Congress, calling it the Mate X.
Huawei said the phone will start selling at a massive price of approximately $2600, and will be available in the middle of 2019. That price tops the high end of Samsung’s Galaxy Fold, which will sell for $1980.
It looks like the Huawei Mate X is shaping up to be the foldable phone that fixes the concerns of the Samsung Galaxy Fold, as the Galaxy Fold does not appear to fold flat when closed.
The Huawei Mate X which comes with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, can fold into a slim 6.6-inch smartphone and unfold into an 8-inch tablet unlike the Samsung Galaxy Fold that unfolds into 7.3-inches.
