Samsung Introduces Galaxy Note 4 Into The Nigerian Market

Samsung Electronics has launched the latest addition to its Galaxy Note family, the Galaxy Note 4, in Nigeria. The device was formally unveiled to the public at the company’s Ikeja City Mall Experience Store in Lagos on Friday, October 24. Blending an advanced S Pen with superior viewing experience, the Galaxy Note 4 provides users with a unique and powerful mobile experience.

According to the Managing Director of Samsung Electronics West Africa, Mr. Brovo Kim, the new Galaxy Note 4 introduces the most refined Note experience to-date by combining the latest technology that users expect from Samsung’s Galaxy series.

“In 2011, we introduced the original Galaxy Note and launched a whole new smart device category. Its larger screen size and iconic S Pen technology initiated a new standard in smartphone culture. The undeniable success of the category strengthened our conviction that consumers want higher quality features on their devices and they want those new features to positively impact their quality of life. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a powerful, original approach that enables its users to tell the stories of their lives through dynamic and seamless expressions of their passions across work, play and life experiences,” he said.

Kim reiterated Samsung’s commitment to fulfilling its brand promise of inspiring the world and creating the future by bringing new and meaningful innovations to the doorstep of consumers.

Embracing the legacy of Samsung’s Galaxy Note series, the Galaxy Note 4 boasts a 5.7-inch QUAD High Definition (QHD) resolution display that reproduces clearer and more vivid images with better viewing angles, to deliver the ultimate viewing experience to users. Its large screen and refined multi-window feature optimize users’ experience by making multi-tasking easier; users can choose how they access their applications using the device’s full, split or pop-up screen options. They can also easily change the size and positioning of on-screen applications with just one swipe.

The Galaxy Note 4 parades an advanced camera system that generates brighter and clearer images. The device’s 16-megapixel rear-facing camera features a Smart Optical Image Stabilizer that counter-balances camera shake and automatically extends exposure time in poor lighting conditions. In addition, its 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera offers users a default 90-degree shooting angle and up to 120 degrees wide angle to enable users take better selfies and wefies with friends.

A new Snap Note (Photo Note) feature enables the conversion of images into editable format within the Galaxy Note 4’s S Note application. Users can rearrange or edit text and objects in photographs as well as convert hand-written notes to editable images with this feature.

Director of Information Technology & Mobile for Samsung Electronics West Africa, Mr. Emmanouil Revmatas described the Galaxy Note 4 as a testament to Samsung’s leadership and innovation in the smartphone market and its commitment to developing best-in-class products to meet the ever-changing needs of its consumers.

“A major complaint by users of smart mobile devices is that their device’s battery doesn’t charge fast enough, even after extended charging periods. With the Samsung Galaxy Note 4’s Adaptive Fast Charging technology, users can get their battery charge up from zero to 50% capacity in just 30 minutes. Its ultra power saving mode also lets users make the most of their battery power, helping them stay connected for longer periods. Today, we are excited to present Nigerians with the world’s most powerful mobile device,” he said.

The Galaxy Note 4 comes equipped with multiple microphones and an improved speaker phone for better audio feedback in noisy environments. A built-in voice recorder offers eight different directional voice tagging options and a selective playback capability that allows users to isolate and listen to specific voices in a group conversation. The device also offers an improved fingerprint scanner for securing users’ personal data alongside the world’s first ultra-violet sensor in a mobile device.

The device’s S Pen features new innovations that reinvent and modernize users’ note-taking experience. A simple click of the S Pen button while hovering over the device’s screen introduces users to Air Command, a palette of powerful features that make tasks easier and faster to accomplish. The Galaxy Note 4’s S Pen also features a new Smart Select feature that allows users piece together content from different applications with ease. Users can enjoy a much more authentic pen experience with a natural brush effect that perfectly emulates writing on paper with a fountain or calligraphy pen.

In addition to its innovative technological advancements, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 delivers a new premium look and feel, expanding the modern Samsung Galaxy design approach with a new metal frame and fluid curvature that seamlessly blends in with the device’s display.  A soft-textured back cover complements the design to offer users superior grip and enhanced durability.

Samsung’s Galaxy Gifts package comes pre-installed on all Galaxy Note 4 devices, offering a wide collection of premium mobile services and Apps designed to make consumer experience more enjoyable and productive.

  1. We hope the price of this phone Galaxy note 4 will not go sky high in Nigeria, because if you look at what is happening to the prices of the new iPhones series which sell in US for $800 iPhone 6+ (unlock). But in Nigeria the prices is so outrageous that they are sold almost twice the recomended prices in Nigeria, we hope Sammy Galaxy note 4 price will not go beyond what the average Nigerian gadgets freaks can afford it?

    1. The Note 4 price will be out of the sky like the over hyped iPhones…. Its just about 125k or thereabout.
