iflix, a leading Video on Demand (VoD) service provider for emerging markets have officially announced its presence in Nigeria.  Users can begin to sign up to enjoy unlimited access to iflix library containing thousands of movies, popular TV shows, sports, children’s program among other vast variety of entertainment content.

Iflix is a Southeast Asia’s equivalent of Netflix was launched in May 2015. It launched its service in Malaysia and the Philippines in 2015 and has since expanded its service through 22 markets around Asia, Middle East and Africa.

The United Nations Industrial Development Organisation’s (UNIDO)’s Investment and Technology Promotion Office (ITPO) said it is set to equip Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria with its Computer Model for Feasibility Analysis and Reporting –COMFAR tools and methodologies for project appraisal.

Deborah Liu, Facebook’s VP for Marketplace,  has announced the roll out of Facebook Marketplace to 17 countries across Europe (Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland), giving more people a single destination on Facebook to discover, buy and sell goods in their local communities.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has revealed the company is taking a strong response to the white supremacy-associated violence on display in Charlottesville, USA over the weekend, and unlike President Donald Trump, he went on to make an unequivocal call about who was in the wrong.

“I disagree with the president and others who believe that there is a moral equivalence between white supremacists and Nazis, and those who oppose them by standing up for human rights,” writes Cook.

According to him, equal treatment of all people is fundamental to his own morality and that of Apple, which is expressed through its products and actions.
