iPhone SE 2023 will use the iPhone XR design

Not impressed with the iPhone 14? The next generation iPhone SE may be worth the wait

The coming Apple iPhone SE entry for next year will come with some major design changes that will appeal to prospective buyers.
iPhone SE 2023 will use the iPhone XR design

The iPhone SE entry from Apple has been an iteration of previous iPhone flagships. For the past two generations, the SE series has always given “vibes from the past.” Recent reports however suggest that Apple is shaking things up with the next SE.

The past two iPhone SE devices (2020 and 2022) have a design similar to the iPhone 7 and 8. This old design language, one of which other brands are moving away from, is proving to be a dealbreaker for some people planning on getting an SE. Although in slow motion, Apple is now shifting away from the thick bezel design for their coming SE model.

According to a report from Jon Prosser, the next iPhone SE will come with a design similar to the iPhone XR. Already in its development stage, the device is expected to launch around March next year, but there’s more1

Having launched the iPhone 14 series on the 7th of this month, and the pricing causing a stir especially among Nigerians (per exchange rate and retailers markup), the SE may be the cheapest way to join the Apple gang. Historically, the SE launches cheaper than flagship series. At its launch its pricing will be under the $600 market range and picking one for yourself will be less of a financial burden than buying the near iPhone 14.

With this device you won’t feel like an over-the-hill iPhone user, you’d get the notch screen instead of the fat bezels. In addition to the design change, this coming iPhone will launch with a recent Bionic processor. So, will you get the more expensive iPhone 14 series, or will you wait a few months for the iPhone SE 2023?
