Amazon Prime now includes Uber Eats with no delivery fee on $25 orders. Here’s the fine print

Amazon Prime members can now order Uber Eats from restaurants right inside the Amazon app, and orders of $25 or more come with a $0 delivery fee. Amazon announced the new Uber Eats Prime benefit on Thursday, Nov. 5, and it is already live across the US. You do not need an Uber account. Here is what you actually get, what is still on the bill, and how many orders it takes before the perk pays for itself.

The short version

Prime now includes Uber Eats restaurant delivery with no delivery fee on orders of $25 or more, as long as you order through Amazon. The perk started Nov. 5 for every Prime member in the US.

  1. Orders of $25 or more from qualifying restaurants have a $0 delivery fee when you order on Amazon.com or in the Amazon Shopping app.
  2. You log in with your Amazon account, so no Uber Eats app or account is needed.
  3. For the first 14 days, you can get $20 off each of your first two orders of $25 or more, which is $40 in total.
  4. Prime Visa cardholders earn 5% back on Uber Eats orders through Dec. 5, 2026.
  5. The downside: Amazon promises a $0 delivery fee, not a $0 bill, so check the total at checkout before you pay.

What the Uber Eats Prime benefit includes

According to Amazon’s announcement, Prime members can search “Uber Eats” on Amazon, pick a restaurant and pay with their Amazon account. Every order of $25 or more from a qualifying restaurant gets a $0 delivery fee. Uber Eats then sends the final order confirmation.

The benefit covers all Prime members, including people on the half price Prime for Young Adults and Prime Access plans. If you share Prime with one other adult in your home through Amazon Family, they can use it too. Amazon says it works “coast to coast,” from big cities to small towns.

What changes for you: if you already order takeout once a week or more, this is a perk you may be paying for already without knowing it. If you rarely order food, it changes nothing, and it is not a reason to sign up for Prime on its own.

The launch offer: $40 off your first two orders

For the first 14 days of the launch, Prime members can get $20 off each of their first two Uber Eats orders of $25 or more. That is $40 in total. If you have a Prime Visa card, you also earn 5% back on Uber Eats orders through Dec. 5, 2026.

Amazon also says members could save “more than $175 a year.” That figure comes with a footnote: it is an estimate based on a typical number of orders and is compared with ordering on Uber Eats without an Uber One membership. Your savings depend on how often you order.

Does it pay for itself? Our quick math

Prime costs $14.99 a month or $139 a year. Here is how many $25 orders it would take for the delivery fee savings alone to cover a year of Prime, depending on the delivery fee you would otherwise pay. These fees are examples, not Uber Eats prices, because fees vary by restaurant and distance.

Delivery fee you would have paidOrders to save $139About how often
$270More than once a week
$347About once a week
$528About every two weeks

The takeaway: for most people this is a nice extra on top of Prime, not a reason to buy Prime. The $40 launch credit is the easiest value to grab, so use it in the first two weeks if you plan to order anyway.

What is still on the bill

Amazon’s promise is a “$0 Delivery Fee.” The announcement does not say that service fees, taxes, tips or small order fees are waived, and orders under $25 do not qualify. Menu prices are set by the restaurant. Before you tap to pay, look at the total, not just the delivery line.

What happened to the Grubhub+ perk

Prime members used to get a free Grubhub+ membership. Amazon’s announcement does not mention Grubhub at all, but an Amazon spokesperson told reporters that the Grubhub agreement ended on Thursday, Nov. 5. If you used Grubhub+ through Prime, open your Grubhub account to see whether your membership still shows as active, and check whether any paid plan has started.

How to order Uber Eats with Prime

  1. Open the Amazon Shopping app or go to Amazon.com and sign in.
  2. Search “Uber Eats” to see restaurants that deliver to you.
  3. Add items until your order reaches $25 or more, then check out with your Amazon account.
  4. Watch for the Uber Eats confirmation, which tells you the order went through.
