The latest entrant into the taxi industry in Lagos, TransitKonect a mobile application for booking taxi, is on the verge of improving the taxi-booking experience for Lagosians.
Speaking on the reason behind the online-taxi-booking mobile application, the TransitKonect, CEO, Adedayo Charis said the initiative is meant to reduce the traffic congestion in Lagos while also saving cost for taxi drivers who wonder about in search of passengers.
On launching, TransitKonect is in partnership with the Lagos State Taxi Drivers And Cab Operator Association which will give every member of the association access to the database of customers looking for taxi on the platform.
TransitKonect not only help the drivers secure passengers, it also create an additional revenue for the taxi drivers through our indoor advertisement, with the taxi owners/drivers getting up to 60% of the revenue from the indoor advertisement.
And with the Upgrade-Your-Taxi initiative, the platform is providing soft loans to taxi drivers to upgrade and renovate their cab to the taste of the users.
For the passengers, they not only book taxi with ease but also benefit from several partnership that TransitKonect has with several organisations which enable the passengers to get customer rewards, discounts on products as well as free products from stores across the country.
Statistics from the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation revealed that 500,000 people uses taxi on a daily basis in the state, TransitKonect believes the partnership with the Yellow Taxi is significant as the association boast of about 7,000 taxis on the streets of Lagos which will go a long way in solving the problem encountered by stranded passengers on Lagos roads.
