Realme C55 Mini Capsule

The Realme C55 imitates Apple’s Dynamic Island software

Remember the Apple Dynamic Island software feature? Well the new budget friendly Realme C55 copies this feature.

The new Realme C55 borrows an important feature from the iPhone 14 Pro series. This feature is what makes the iPhone 14 Pro series different from any other iPhone currently available for sale. Apple calls this the Dynamic Island, and it is a software feature that makes the new notch more than just a design element.

After the iPhone 14 Pro series launch, a few Android smartphone manufacturers began imitating Apple’s new iPhone camera notch. The likes of Xiaomi launched a device that used a notch selfie camera cutout placed in the middle of the screen, just like the iPhone 14 Pro series.

On its part, the new Realme C55 copies Dynamic Island, bringing software functions to the area around the selfie camera spot. Realme calls this feature the Mini Capsule and, just like the iPhone Dynamic Island, it will display some information.

This software addition to the Realme C55 will pop up around the selfie camera area. It will display the battery percentage, charging information, data consumption, and so on. It might also integrate media controls like the Apple Dynamic Island, so users can control songs playing without pulling down the Android device control centre.

Other features of this new device include a 6.72-inch full HD IPS screen display supporting a 90Hz refresh rate. The Realme C55 uses the MediaTek Helio G88 processor and up to 8GB memory capacity. It will also feature a dual 64MP rear camera setup and an 8MP centre punch-hole selfie camera cutout.

The new Mini Capsule feature will be displayed around this selfie camera cutout. Other details on this device, and its pricing, are available via the company’s official website. This budget device also comes with an impressive design and cool colour options that change under direct light.
