Sandisk Ultra Dual Drive M3.0: flashdrive for Android phone

The device is a small thumb retractable drive with a USB connector and micro-USB connector at opposite ends. Both connectors are held together by a slider that enables you switch between the two connectors. The switching only allows you make use of one connector at a time.

The device essentially allows you transfer files from your smartphone onto the USB or from the USB to the smartphone, likewise plug the USB to the a computer via the USB port and transfer file to and from it.

Performance

Using the Sandisk Dual drive on the computer is easy as it is just a plug and play device like your regular flash drive/Mass storage device. By default, the available storage capacity is 114GB.

 For real life testing, I sent a 1.14GB file from the computer to the drive and it took 54 seconds at a speed of 22.9MB/s. Same file was sent from the PC to the drive and this was even faster at 32 seconds at 38.4MB/s.

I also tested with a Huawei smartphone and when plugged in, it was immediately detected and ready for use. The storage can be accessed via the file manager on mobile.

A 2.26GB file was transfered from the phone to the drive and the result was impressive. The file was transferred under in 1:35 minutes at 41MBMB/s.

You can also choose to install the Sandisk Memory Zone app on your phone. This lets you completely manage files on your phone, access and move files around-whether they are on your phone, the drive or store in the cloud.

In conclusion, the Sandisk Ultra Dual Drive m3.0 is a portable device that can be used on mobile and PC to do a quick backup of your files instead of uploading to cloud or using a USB cable to connect to the PC. It can be used on the go as a backup for mobile and/or for expanding storage.
