Apple iOS 16 is out of beta and ready to download. Only available to users of the Iphone 8 and after, Apple’s new software comes with a lot of personalization features for the iPhone screen. One is the ability to add filters to the images you use as screensaver.
You can also change the fonts and colour of the date and time apps on your lock screen. The updated software allows you add useful widgets to your lock screen and switch between various lock screens that you create yourself. Each lock screen can be linked to a focus mode that fits your current disposition such as Do not Disturb, personal, work and sleep and notification setting.
On iOS 16, notifications now roll in from the bottom of the lock screen instead of blocking your screensaver.
On the iMessage app there are new developments as well such the ability to remove typographical errors after sending a text. You can also undo or unsend a message 15mins after sending it. This however will not work if you send a message to someone with an older iOS version. On the new iOS 16, you can also use an upgraded version of dictation to convert your speech to text.
