Dominated by Uber and Taxify, the Lagos e-taxi scene has welcomed another player, Holla Cab Services the company behind Holla App.
TechCity gathered that the company is headed by Edward Essien who is serving as the company’s country chief executive officer.
He recently said the cab service is especially developed with both the riders and partners in mind. He boasted that users of the app would enjoy the most affordable, safe and easily available on demand taxi hailing services.
“This app is a win-win and we understand this market. We are about to change the face of On Demand Taxi Hailing Services in Nigeria and Africa” Essien said.
In an email it sent to potential users on Wednesday, the company is offering first time users of the Holla App N500 off their first ride.
Take a first ride and we will credit your wallet with N500.
An important aspect of the company’s email suggested it would not be restricting its operations to Lagos as it has its eyes on other cities.

In addition to N500 off first ride offer, the company is also planning to drive registration by offering N100 airtime on every valid registration.

To make cash payment to be less attractive to its customers, the company is offering 20% discount to those that decide to pay with their debit cards.
