What’s in the box?
The device is housed in a sleek rectangular orange box with a picture of the smartphone boldly pasted in front.
Upon opening the box, you find: the device, a phone case, warranty card, the user manual, a charging adapter, USB cable and earpiece.
First impressions
The device itself looks sleek with some sparkles at the back; but I was expecting more shine – it’s Tecno Spark 3 right? We got the gold version of the device and I don’t think the colour did justice to the ‘spark’ feature. I saw some pictures of the black version and it did better than the gold one. Or maybe it was just my eyes.
I think the design is basic and simple – no drama – with a plastic back. The back of the device also houses the camera, finger print scanner and speaker; although I don’t really agree with the speaker being at the back. The back cover is removable, revealing where the microSD and SIM slots are.
The body of the device isn’t complex with the earphone jack at the top, USB port at the bottom, volume rocker and power button at the right side of the device.
Talking about the display, I was quite impressed. For a price of N36,500, the display did really well coming with a resolution of 1500x720pixels.
