Samsung has revealed that its second Unpacked event of 2022 will hold on August 10th. After tweeting a cryptic message on its official handle a few days ago, the mobile phone manufacturer followed with a tweet and a video that suggested its August 10th event would be all about the galaxy flip and fold series.
The tweet said, “Aug 10. 2022 (is) greater than Today. Watch something greater than before unfold at samsung.com.” The last Samsung Unpacked event took place in February this year.
According to The Verge, the image on Samsung’s tweet could be the Flip 4 and it seems to feature the same shape, rear dual-camera setup, and side-mounted power button and fingerprint scanner as the Flip 3. On the Fold 3, rumors suggest it might have a slightly different camera bump compared to its predecessor.
The event will be virtual like its past Unpacked events post-Covid. The company says the stream kicks off at 9am.
Samsung has also kicked off a renewable, zero e-waste product campaign where old galaxy smartphones are renewed and sold in certain regions. The company says, It’s like buying used textbooks but even shinier.
