Although cities are shutting down, OEM company Tecno is planning to go ahead with the launch of its latest product — albeit online. The device that will launched is Tecno’s camera phone – the TECNO CAMON 15 series
In a statement made available to TechCity, Tecno said it will hold its product launch through TV broadcast and will also be streamed live on social media. Although the company said the online product launch will be the first-ever online smartphone launch in African history that shows that Internet development in Africa has stepped into a new phase, it is worthy to note that year-on-year, the company had launched its latest devices at major physical events in Nigeria.
However, with the coronavirus disease which started in Wuhan, China now affecting countries globally, Nigeria and other major markets for Tecno are prohibiting large events and as such, Tecno maybe unable to hold its regular product launch events.
Describing the device, Tecno said it comes with its proprietary artificial intelligence vision optimization solution that enables “genuinely ultra-clear night shots”, Tecno stated.
