Microsoft is the Major Sponsor Of CIO100 Symposium And Awards

CIO East Africa is delighted to announce that Microsoft has taken the platinum sponsorship spot for this year’s CIO100 Symposium and Awards, which incorporates the DEMO Africa Traction series event that will take place in Naivasha, Kenya from November 10th to November 11th.

This prestigious IT and Leadership event being held for the 6th time, will involve a 2-day high energy celebration of IT excellence that will be marked with networking opportunities and knowledge sharing. It is expected to attract more than 1000 CIOs and IT executives from all over the world and specifically East Africa.

This is the first time the DEMO Africa Traction series is co-located with the CIO100 Symposium, but it is in line with the global trends of connecting technology startups with enterprise CIOs and senior IT professionals. 10 pre-selected startups will pitch their products to CIOs attending the CIO100 symposium during the 2 days.

CIO East Africa director Andrew Karanja explains that, “The regional CIO100 Awards celebrate companies from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania for their innovative use of IT. The awards ceremony is an offshoot of the global CIO100 Awards which have been held for over two decades, during which time the awards have identified and recognized 100 companies that demonstrate excellence and achievement in IT across the globe.

In the awards ceremony, this year’s top 100 IT companies will be tanked into four categories including – CIO100 Gold ranging from number 1-25, CIO100 Silver ranging from number 26 to 50, CIO100 Bronze from number 51 to 75 and CIO100 Ivory from number 76 to 100.
