Infinix Mobility success story in Africa

Infinix mobility has caused a stir in Africa’s telecommunication industry with the release of infinix Hot2. The brand which is barely 3 years here, became the first to partner with Google in producing the first device to be enrolled under the Android One program in Africa.

Infinix Mobility is a Hong Kong based company with its headquarters in Shanghai which also houses its research and development centre. It has its design centre in Paris and its production centre in Shenzhen- the electronic hub of the world.

The company prides its success in its experienced executives which is led by its CEO, Benjamin Jiang. Benjami Jiang has a track record in the mobile phone industry as he joined Bird Co., LTD- Chinese mobile phone pioneer- in 2003 as the Head of project management. By 2007, he joined Longcheer holding- a leading Chinese mobile handset design house- as GM of International Business Unit. He remained there up until he became the CEO of Infinix Mobility in 2012.

The company has proven to be one with hindsight following the success it recorded when it launched the Infinix Zero with Konga last year, making it the number one best selling online smartphone in Africa. Nigerians alone purchased 150,000 units of the device. Same year, it went on to raise the bar with the Infinix Hot which arguably surpassed other big brands like Nokia in Q1 2015.

In April 2015, Infinix announced the Infinix Hot Note, a 5.5 inch smartphone that has a fast charging technology that also provides users about 2-days battery life.  According to the country manager, Bruno Li, “As a High-tech company, it is our duty to deliver product that brings concrete solutions to the market.”

This was followed by the announcement of the Zero 2 in June, a successor to the Infinix Zero series. This 5-inch device has a premium design as it bears a Kevlar back cover and an  impressive super AMOLED display. And now, Infinix has made history with Google

Infinix Mobility partnered with Google, Jumia and MTN, three pillars of the technology ecosystem in Nigeria to launch the Infinix HOT 2– the 1st official Android One project with lollipop version 5.1 in Africa.  With the Hot 2, the largest African operator MTN is offering 1GB data for 500 Naira to fit consumers need in data connection. The device is following in the steps of its predecessors in breaking records by selling thousands of units online in minutes.

The company is also concerned about its customers with over 100 service centres across Africa, allowing consumers to find professional support. Most of the devices are carry a 365 days warranty, enabling users get support services from over 400 engineers and technicians.

With about 10,000 distribution channels in Africa, the company guarantee the supply of its devices to the people of Africa.
