Fisayo Fosudo transforms retiree and traders home in tear-jerking video

Fisayo told the story to his over 450k Youtube audience saying he was his pleasu to be a part of the project, having experienced a humble beginning himself.

Youtuber, Fisayo Fosudo has partnered with FOUANI Nigeria limited and LG electronics Nigeria Ltd in their Changing Lives Project. In a new Youtube video, Fosudo tells the story of the first beneficiary of the project.

After taking to the streets and talking with people about their standard and state of living, Fosudo selected the Emiola’s, a Mushin based family who did not envisage the life changing transformation.

The Emiolas are a family of 5, Alhaji Emiola, a retiree, his wife (a neighborhood trader with her store in front of the house) and their 3 sons who live in a ~5sqm room in Mushin, Lagos.

The state of the Emiola’s home was a literal cry for help with obvious efforts of the family to keep it decent and habitable.

Fosudo’s video shows the house get a total makeover with new floor tiles, a new ceiling, a new toilet unit, freshly painted walls, a new door, electrical and plumbing works, new furniture and installation of new electrical appliances from LG and Fouani Nigeria.

Fosudo siad it took four days to execute the transformation and the family was lodged in an hotel in Ilupeju, Lagos for the duration of the renovation.

When the Emiola’s returned home, they walked into a completely new space in their Mushin home. Alhaji Emiola was overwhelmed and his wife could neither say a word nor hold back some tears.

The retired father of three, in his joy compared the new apartment to a “commissioner’s house.” He said the home renovation was a miracle he never expected in his life noting that what he couldn’t afford when he was actively working and earning, had now come to him when he was retired and had no means.

Commenting on the successful completion of the first phase of the project, Mohammed Fouani, managing director of FOUANI Nigeria limited said he was happy and satisfied and challenged others to replicate the project “so that the public can benefit”. Fouani also promised to increase his influence to make the project continue.

Fisayo who told the story to his over 450,000 Youtube audience expressed his pleasure to be a part of the project, having experienced a humble beginning himself.

The Changing Lives Project continues and Fosudo has promised that viewers will be more awed with subsequent episodes than they were with the first.

The project was sponsored by Fouani, LG and supported by Furniture Square.
