Passion Incubator, a Nigerian technology incubator/accelerator has launched StartUp SouthWest, a program aimed at connecting the ecosystem players (entrepreneurs, hubs, and technology companies) in the South West region of Nigeria to drive collaboration and support innovation.
The incubator will visit these players to understand their local challenges, explore ways to solve them and promote their success.
About the Program:
The program will provide an opportunity for innovative and dedicated teams who are solving Africa’s biggest problems to redefine their product, achieve product-market fit, acquire new customers(including corporates) and investment.
StartUp SouthWest is one of six proposed similar regional hub projects being supported by the Growth and Employment (GEM) project, and will offer pre-incubation training and a startup incubation program.
Pre-Incubation Program:
The Pre-Incubation program is focused on providing Training and Support in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Development Ethics, Entrepreneurship training and Ideation so as to allow innovators the opportunity to gain the skills required to build deep technologies.
The Startup Incubation Program:
Meanwhile, the startup incubation component is a six-month-long programme that provides an opportunity for innovative startup teams to rethink their business model, redefine their product and strategy, achieve product-market fit, and acquire early customers.
Eligibility:
- Full-time commitment
- Residence within the South-West states
- Little or No technology background
