Every mobile phone owner in Nigeria is so used to receiving various spam messages from network operators all in the name of marketing, you know all those sms from numbers like 4501, 5032, 30046…. It gets so annoying that a lot of people pay less attention to the messages when they come in, i am a typical example as i don’t even open the messages no more… i just delete right away.
Now there is an app that gives the assurance that you wont get the messages anymore, it is called Binga. Binga app is available for free download the on Google play store, it is light weight (about 2.5Mb) and doesn’t eat up your data. The app scans incoming messages and then prevents the unwanted messages from coming in.
Well the apps works very well, so far it has been blocking spam messages and to an extent heaved a sigh of relief. I also have an observation, messages with named sender id keeps coming in while those with numbers are blocked. Meaning i still get messages from AIRTEL as sender but none from 30046 and the likes.
