ChatGPT now provides real-time answers like Bard

To enable this feature, ChatGPT users can simply choose “Browse with Bing” in the selector under GPT-4.

Open AI’s ChatGPT can now browse the internet to provide users with real-time information.

This feature is however only available to premium users of the chatabot. This means that premium users can now ask ChatGPT questions about current affairs and access the latest news. It’s a significant leap in the capabilities of this Google Bard’s biggest competitor.

Sharing the news last week, OpenAI posted on X, “Browsing is available to Plus and Enterprise users… and we’ll expand to all users soon.” To enable this feature, users can simply choose “Browse with Bing” in the selector under GPT-4.

It’s worth noting that OpenAI had previously tested a feature that allowed users to access the latest information using the Bing search engine within its premium ChatGPT Plus offering. However, they temporarily disabled it due to concerns that it could potentially bypass paywalls.

OpenAI is also working on enabling ChatGPT to have voice conversations with users. This development brings ChatGPT closer to popular AI assistants like Apple’s Siri.
