The Atlantic Council and the United States Department of State has selected GFA Technologies, A Nigerian startup to participate in the esteemed Artificial Intelligence Connect II Programme.
The aim of the initiative is to empower low and middle-income countries to actively engage in global AI policy dialogues.
The organizers designed it to promote the ethical deployment of AI technologies, in line with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development AI Principles.
According to Adebola Omololu, CEO at GFA Technologies,, 20 companies were selected from across Africa for the programme, including GPA technologies.
In his statement he pointed out that the company, through its engineering team, has been “building pioneering algorithms around African startups and SMEs,” in the last few years.
The team has been leveraging both large language models and small language models in building the algorithms.
The company also developed their FundraiserCRM solution,“ to solve the African startups’ problem of access to finance.
The Fundraiser solution “connects startups with global investors based on our SLMs”. he added.
The company has also infused AI into other solutions.
Expressing his excitement about the invitation, the CEO said;
“Our activities give us unique insight, and we are really excited by the invitation extended by the Atlantic Council and the US Department of State.”
GFA Technologies was also in discussions with South Africa’s Department of Communications and Digital Technologies on the deployment of AI strategies.
