The tech ecosystem in Nigeria is now growing beyond Lagos as other cities are evolving their own tech ecosystems – Ibadan is one of such. With quite a number of major tech events bringing the tech ecosystem together, tech enthusiasts and startups in the city are charting the course for the future of tech in the city and probably the country.
One of such events is set to hold next month, it is called TechJam.
According to the organizers, TechJam is a 2-day event, it is about building an ecosystem of technology, startups, and entrepreneurship in Ibadan.
“Techjam is an annual gathering of all startups, technology innovators, mentors, investors and tech ecosystem players into Ibadan with the goal of building and creating a stronger ecosystem, broader networks and more opportunities for technology enthusiasts in Ibadan,” organizers said in statement.
It is expected that at the event, participants would be inspired and empowered by various forerunners and achievers in the tech world.They would get to see live demos of latest technologies, innovations and startups across the nation.They could also be a part of the hackathon and have their great idea come to life.
The theme of Techjam 2016 is Technology: Uncovering the Opportunities. The event will take place on the 8th and 9th of December 2016, at the Nustreams Culture and Conference Centre Km 110 Alalubosa GRA Extension, Iyaganku Ibadan.
Techjam 2016 will feature several events. There will be speaking sessions by techpreneurs far and near. There will also be Hackathons, gaming sessions, lots of exhibitions of the latest innovations and technologies by top tech companies and businesses in Nigeria, opportunities for networking, opportunities to pitch business and startup ideas in front of a panel of judges/investors and lots more.
