Specs for Redmi G 2021 Gaming Laptop, now Official

Xiaomi has finally announced the launch of their second-generation gaming laptop, the Redmi G 2021. That’s good news for gamers, as the laptop keeps up with Redmi’s penchant for affordability, with its starting price undercutting most of the competition in the gaming market.

Redmi G 2021 Specifications

The new Redmi laptop model is available in two variants that feature a 16.1 inch (144Hz) display, 512GB of storage, and 16GB of RAM. One of the models comes with an Intel Core i5-11260H CPU and Geoforce RTX 3050 Graphics, while the other packs an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H CPU and RTX 3060 graphics. However, most specs are the same in both models, including:

  • 16.1-inch display
  • Backlit Keyboards
  • Xiaomi’s XiaoAI Assistant
  • Wi-Fi6 support
  • DTS X Ultra 3D Sound
  • Xiaomi game box support
  • Hurricane cooling 3.0 heat dissipation

While both laptops feature cutting-edge technology that can support almost every modern PC game and wagering with the betway sign-up code, there are several differences. The superior model that packs the AMD Ryzen 7 boasts a better cooling system with four air outlets, dual 12V fans, and five copper heat pipes. The model also comes with a 230W power adapter that rivals the 180W adapter that the Intel model packs. However, both models are equipped with Windows 10, although they’re expected to get the Windows 11 upgrade once it’s on the market.

Redmi G 2021 Price

Redmi G 2021 pricing is expected to be higher than the previous version released in August 2020. The reason behind the higher pricing is the higher performance of the gaming laptop compared to its predecessor. However, the higher pricing is worth it since the previous model came with a mid-range GTX 1650 Ti processor, while the Redmi G 2021 comes with a high-performance GPU that supports RTX.

For gamers interested in buying the Redmi G 2021, you can get the AMD variant at 6,999 Yuan (around $1,081). The model is currently available for reservations through the Xiaomi Mall in China and it went on sale starting on September 28th.

The Intel variant on the other hand will retail for 5,699 Yuan ($880) and It’s already available for sale in China. However, Xiaomi is yet to confirm which other markets away from China will receive the new Redmi G gaming notebook. Nonetheless, the Redmi G 2021 remains among the most sophisticated gaming laptops for gamers on a budget.
