Samsung announces smartphones with front-facing camera flash

Samsung seems to be always ahead in the innovation world. They have gone ahead to do it again by  announcing two new smartphones for their J lineup- the Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7. What makes it innovative is that it will be Samsung’s first phones to equip front-facing flash units.

Having a front-facing flash enabled device comes in handy especially for those moments when you need to take those selfies in the dark. What we are not sure about is the quality of the pictures when they are taking in such circumstances.

The Galaxy J5 and J7 are not lacking in other areas as they both have 1.5GB of RAM, a 5 megapixel front camera, a 13 megapixel rear camera, 16GB of internal storage, dual-SIM, microSD and Android 5.1 Lollipop. However, they differ in display and chipset with a 5-inch 720p display, a 2,600mAh battery and the 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 for the Galaxy J5 and 5.5 inch display for the Galaxy J7, 3,000mAh battery and a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615.

According to Phandroid, these devices will range between $225 and $289 which is about N49,275 and N63,291. That seems pretty affordable considering the other devices that carry those specifications as the Galaxy J5 and J7. For now, the device may only be available within the Asian market but who knows? Samsung Mobile Nigeria may work towards getting the device to us.
