President Tinubu shakes up Nigerian Communications ministry; appoints new NCC boss

President Tinubu replaced Prof Umar Danbatta, the Executive Vice chairman of the NCC with Aminu Maida as the new EVC and CEO of the NCC.

There has been a major shakeup by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the Communications, Innovation and Digital economy ministry.

The president removed the Executive Vice chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta, replacing him with Aminu Maida as the new EVC and CEO of the NCC.

Nkechi Egerton- Idehen is all set to take over as MD/CEO of NIGCOMSAT, taking the baton from Tukur Mohammed Lawal Funtua, and Tola Adeyemi for NIPOST taking over from Sunday Adepoju.

President Tinubu however, retained NITDA DG, Kashifu Inuwa and Dr. Vincent Olatunji of NDPC while appointing Idris Alubankudi as special adviser to the president on Technology and digital Economy.
