OPPO A92 Review: A Stellar Upgrade of OPPO A9

The OPPO A92 is one of the most impressive smartphone released by OPPO this year. OPPO A92 has a better and upgraded version of its predecessor A9.

Both devices share many similarities, the newer model A92 features is an improvements as regards chipset, camera setup, storage configuration and others. With such advancement, it is no doubt more impressive than its predecessor.

OPPO A92 Design

The OPPO A92 is available in two colors, Twilight Black and an Aurora Purple color; the design is mesmerising and inspired by natural light. Great texting, comfortable handgrip and lighter weight.

It weighs 192g in size and 8.9mm in thickness, which allows comfortable handgrip.

It also has a side fingerprint Unlock on the side, that’s a whole new level, which serves as the power button.

OPPO A92 also has face recognition and 6-key passcode options. With the face recognition you can unlock the phone quickly and faster even when you’re in a dark room; the phone’s brightness could use the face recognition to unlock the phone.

OPPO A92 Display

One of the things that attracted me to the OPPO A92 is the natural color and its design, I found out it’s one of the easiest phone to hold, it comes with a large 6.5” FHD+ display with a 1080P resolution, a 20.9 aspect ratio, with the Neo-Display tech it doesn’t consume a lot of battery, and you can increase the brightness as much as 480 nits.

The device also has an Eye Care Mode, which you can toggle on. The brightness is adapted in such a way it won’t destroy your eyes.

OPPO A92 Performance

The Speaker, USB Type-C port and microphone port are placed at the bottom of the phone. The volume button is on the left side of the phone while the power button is on the right, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 chipset; it comes with an 8G RAM size and a 128GB internal memory.

The performance is very good, the software is android 10 and it is powered by Octa core (2GHz,Quad core, Kryo 260
+1.8GHz multi core).

The Color0S version V7.1 Ui is very easy to use and can change your display icons anytime you want.

OPPO A92 also has the 3-finger swipe down to screenshot and to split screen mode.

It also has the riding mode; user will not be interrupted by notification when driving with the smart driving.

The OPPO A92 has different cameras, it has 48MP Ultra Main Camera, 8MP Ultra Wide Angle Lens, It handles wide-angle and close-up shot beautifully well, and you can zoom 10x and still have a manageable quality.

OPPO A92 Front Camera

It has 16MP+f/2.0 and captures more details under various lighting context.

OPPO A92 Rear Camera

It is equipped with four cameras in a C-shaped cutout at the back, the main f/1.7 aperture and a 120-degree field of view so you can take in more of a scene.

The ultra-wide-angle lens is also unique, photos snapped during the day deliver largely natural colors, and night mode automatically gives enough light for images captured in the dark.

The rear camera of the OPPO A92 has lenses for portrait effect, the rear camera is really good the portrait mode will definitely get you in the mood to take more pictures I totally loved taking pictures with the rear camera.

It has various features, night scene mode, basic panorama on the rear, professional, portrait, slow motion, time-lapse, I personally love the portrait feature because it makes my picture brighter.

The panomora mode is used to capture wide view without a wide lens, however I don’t really find this feature useful, but you might.

The flashlight can be used to enhance when making videos or taking pictures.

Night Mode with the aid of the flashlight provides enough lighting and fills the image appropriately.

OPPO A92 Video

The video captures/record beautifully well under good lighting, it can be edited by speed adjustment; it can be slowed down and sped up by as much as 0.25x and 2x the original speed.

You can also add text, theme and other editing items.

Battery

The phone comes with a non-removable 5000mAh battery, which lasts as long as 34hours, it doesn’t take long to charge as well, it takes about 2hours and some minutes to charge fully. It also has a unique feature of reverse charging; with the A92 you can charge other devices phone to phone.

To enable this feature go to settings, toggle the OTG Connection and you’re all set to charge another device.

The battery last long and I can tell you’ll really enjoy it.
