From November 1 – 3, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) will be hosting a hackathon that is geared towards developing a solution that will use technology to inspire and enable redistribution of wealth and greater generosity in the Christian community.
Winner will walk away with N1 million, there is also N500,000 for second place while third place will receive N250,000.
Dubbed Kingdom Hacks, the hackathon is an initiative of RCCG’s department for Young Adults and Youth Affairs (NYAYA).
In a statement, the organizers said Kingdom Hacks aims at creating solutions that exemplify the teachings and values espoused and taught by Jesus Christ and at the same time, building a vanguard of Christian founders and solution providers.
During the hackathon, Nigerian techies will kick start projects and share ideas that integrate thier Christian faith and technical skill set towards creating solutions.
The question the hackathon aims to answer is: the theme is “How can we use technology to inspire and enable redistribution of wealth and greater generosity in the Christian community?
