Nigerian startup MyAds officially launches in India

MyAds, a call triggered mobile banner app that enables advertisers to reach users and customers in a very cost effective way has officially launched in India after it began operations in Nigeria late last year.

Founded by Simeon Ononobi, the app is a fully employable-targeted advertising system that leverages location, sex, age, income-levels, religious inclination and other criteria; it also has an in-built feedback mechanism that enables users to give feedback on the service.

The India operations is headed by MyAds India CEO/Co-Founder Suraj Supekar. Speaking at the official unveiling in Pune, India, Supekar said it has been the plans of the board of MyAds Global to expand the growth of the product and allow it reach the farthest end of the earth.

“We believe that the MyAds App will be one of the first mobile applications to come from an emerging market to take over the world”. Our rewards from today will be talk time for Indians, and we intend to launch bus tickets in no distant time, as rewards to our users,” he said.

The app is expected to be launched in more countries later this year and its founder, Nigerian serial entrepreneur Simeon Ononobi said he believes that it is only the beginning as the app will go global.

“We have started with India and the company plans to roll out to several countries in the months ahead. MyAds was born out of a need to solve an advertising problem, and now it has the potential of helping everyone in the value chain reach her potential customers without breaking the bank,” he said.
