Nigerian Company Debuts at the 2014 Mobile World Congress

Terragon Group, Africa’s leading New Media Company is billed to have an exhibition at the upcoming Global Systems Mobile Association (GSMA) Mobile World Congress holding in Barcelona, Spain from the 24th to the 27th of February 2013. Terragon would be the only indigenously owned Nigerian company to exhibit at the conference, which attracts the biggest players in mobile telecommunications services from across the globe.

Speaking on this development, the Managing Director of Terragon Group, Mr. Elo Umeh said, “We are excited at this milestone of not only participating in the GSMA Mobile World Congress but also confident of the global competiveness of the business we have built over the last four years. Mr. Umeh added that Terragon would be showcasing its three business units each of which focuses on different facets of the digital and new media sphere ranging from Mobile advertising, content aggregation and distribution to digital media marketing and consumer engagement.

Last year’s edition of the Mobile World Congress attracted up to 72,000 delegates from around the world. With brands like Nokia, Samsung, Etisalat, MTN among many others in attendance, this year’s edition is set to be even bigger.

Terragon logoTerragon Group boasts of Africa’s first indigenously owned mobile advertising network Twinpine, which provides a platform for owners of mobile platforms including mobile sites, mobile apps and social networks, to make money from advertisers by serving ads on their various platforms for the African audience. Part of the exhibition from Twinpine will include a demonstration of their mobile advertising platform, which provides innovative ad sizes suited to the African market and splash screens that give advertisers more media mileage for their money.

According to Mr. Umeh, Terragon Group will also showcase its capabilities in content aggregation and distribution through its other business unit called Terragon Limited as well as competencies in digital media marketing through its digital agency, Terragon Media ServicesLimited.

With all these Terragon is set to put Nigeria and indeed, Africa on the map as a growing and veritable market for investment and business opportunities.
