NCC unsatisfied with 9mobile’s company structure

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has expressed its dissatisfaction with the company of the country’s fourth largest operator 9mobile.

Speaking while hosting the new management of the company, the regulator directed the company to redesign its structure.

The redesign, according to NCC, should be geared towards achieving greater productivity and better services to the Nigerian citizens who have chosen to stay on their network all this long.

The visit which was led by Prince Nasir Bayero, Chairman Emerging Markets Telecommunications Services Nigeria Ltd (EMTS), was the first of its kind was to introduce the new Board and Management of 9Mobile to the Commission about the progress they have made since the takeover of 9mobile in November 2018, following the joint intervention of the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Nigerian Communications Commission.

The Chairman of 9Mobile informed the Commission, that the new Board and Management of 9mobile are designing new strategies and ways to ensure that 9Mobile continues to provide excellent quality services while complying to the key performance indicators which the Telco has never failed to meet.

The Executive Vice Chairman NCC, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta who welcomed the delegation commended them that despite the challenges they were able to increase their Subscribers Database as well as maintain High Quality of Service KPI delivery on their network.
