To step up the chatting experience, WhatsApp will be adding a new Avatar feature. This feature which is already in beta testing will help users make themselves into stickers sharable while chatting with friends.

WhatsApp’s new avatar feature is similar to the popular Apple Memoji, Google’s Bitmoji, the Samsung AR sticker, and OPPO’s Omoji. These avatar types are unique to the user interface and experience on each device and enables users to make stickers out of their pictures or videos.

According to the current beta testers, the use cases of the coming WhatsApp Avatar are many. While chatting, users can make use of their avatars as stickers. The avatars will also help to mask a user during a video call or serve as a profile photo. Lots of WhatsApp users will gladly welcome this feature once it becomes available.

While the WhatsApp Avatar feature is still under development, we can confirm it will become available shortly. Mainly, the ability to create avatars on all devices is still being crafted. Its performance might vary from one device to the other, as more expensive flagship devices will perform better.

WhatsApp might brush up the creation process with some software touches wherever devices fall short. Once available, it will roll out to the global community via an application upgrade.
