Just Not Sorry

Just Not Sorry: A New App to help us write better emails

Welcome ‘Just Not Sorry’, a new Chrome plug-in developed to by Cyrus Innovation that warns you whenever you use any phrases that may negatively alter the real message you’re trying to communicate via your email. It’ll also let you know why it thinks you should change the phrase.

Just Not Sorry is designed to help set a professional tone in our emails by helping us eliminate words and phrases that may make us sound or seem weak or unsure.

Whenever you use any phrases like ‘just’, I’m sorry, “I think” and “I’m no expert” (that the app finds offensive), it will underline it in red, as if you had made a spelling error. When you hoover over the underlined phrase, you’ll see the reason why it thinks you should delete that phrase from your message.

sorry

As of today, reports say that over 10,000 people have already added the plug-in to Chrome with most of them giving positive reviews.

I have too and will try it out in coming weeks. I suggest you do same. We all could use some ever- present-editor when writing emails, “I think”.

  1. It’s a good development that will help write emails better but it would be very nice, if after underlining the wrong phrase, it suggests possible synonyms for replacement. Also does it being a Google chrome feature imply it is restricted to the browser? Maybe that shouldn’t be a question. Lol.
