Innovate4Africa is pleased to introduce the CREATIVITY CHALLENGE, a competition targeted at youths between the ages of 18 and 35 years aimed at stimulating innovation around us.
The competition brings to the fore the importance of innovation as a value-creating medium and presents an opportunity for participants to discover and enhance their creative talents by developing innovative products that will solve the common problems we face as a people using available waste and other resources available in our environment.
Young people in this challenge will be exposed to diverse opportunities on how to embrace innovation and make it a part of their lives working individually or in teams.
Interested individuals and teams are required to formally register for the competition online.
A description of their ideas (and innovative product prototypes where applicable) are to be submitted on our portal, https://www.innovate4africa.com/creativity-challenge/ for assessment.
A credible panel of judges made up of experts in the field of innovation, business and entrepreneurship will thereafter shortlist and select winners based on the criteria of originality of ideas, creativity and problem-solving potentials.
Five finalists will be selected, after the rigorous process of assessment of entries received and the winners will be announced for the grand finale.
The best two entries of the competition will be rewarded with cash prizes of N1,000,000.00 and N500,000.00 respectively in addition to free legal services and mentorship placement under the supervision of Innovate4Africa.
Other benefits winners stand to enjoy include investment facilitation, Research and Development (R & D) funding opportunities.
To successfully execute this laudable project, Innovate4africa has partnered with the Port-Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED).
This competition is free to participate in. No equity ask.
