Infinix 260W and 110W FastCharge technology officially launched

The new Infinix 260W and 110W FastCharge technology aims to bring a faster charging experience to the brand’s users.

There has been a lot of advancement in the world of fast charging, and the Infinix 260W and 110W FastCharge are the most recent. At MWC23, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing company launched its new fast-charging technology which could feature in its future devices.

The two charging technologies are wired for the 260W and wireless for the 110W options. Currently, the fastest charging ability on any device is the Realme GT Neo 5. At about 240W, the device charges from 0-100% in less than 10 minutes for wired charging. At 260W, Infinix is aiming at stepping up the wired charging speed by 20 watts which is not a lot. However, it helps to compare both charging speeds by the battery capacity of specific devices.

At the moment, no Infinix phone supports the new 260W fast charging technology but Infinix claims that their 260W fast charging technology would charge a 4,400mAh battery from 0-25% in a minute.

For the wireless charging technology, the company claims a 4,400mAh battery will charge fully in 16 minutes. Using the Infinix 260W and 110W FastCharge technology will produce heat during charge. To curb overheating, Infinix also adds cooling technology to the wireless option, since it directly deals with a coil built into the device it charges.

This wireless mode of charging is said to produce more heat than charging via the USB port. Possibly the smartphone manufacturer would debut this charging technology with one of its new devices.
