Gamrx3 Crowns Champions and Celebrates Gaming Community in Lagos

Over 5,000 gamers, stakeholders, and anime attendees across 15 countries were treated to a variety of experiences at the Gamrx gaming tournament in Lagos

Gamrx, Africa’s premier gaming festival, concluded its phenomenal 3rd edition this weekend May 4th, 2024 at Landmark Center, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria, solidifying its position as the heart of Africa’s thriving gaming scene.

From humble beginnings in 2022 to the amazement of 2023 and now to a full-blown esports extravaganza in 2024, Gamrx has witnessed incredible growth, mirroring Africa’s surging passion for gaming.

This year’s edition, themed “Xhodus, the gaming way,” delivered an unforgettable pop culture experience for gamers and enthusiasts alike.

Over the action-packed weekend, competitors battled fiercely across Ten popular titles, with the following champions crowned: PUBGM (1011 from Nigeria), CODM (Sierra 7 from Nigeria), Apex Legends (FPC Apex Legends from Nigeria), Streetfighter 6 (Bilal from Kenya), Tekken 8 (SkyWalker from Ivory Coast), FreeFire (Batty Boys from Nigeria), Mortal Kombat 11 ( BabyFox from Ghana), EAFC24 (Mitch from Nigeria), CandyCrush (Adetola Victoria from Nigeria), and JustDance (Opeyemi Ibrahim from Nigeria).

On the 3rd of May, a glamorous award night celebrated the champions and the vibrant Nigerian gaming community. The night was filled with excitement, and music, solidifying Gamr’s leading as the premier gaming company in Nigeria. 

The attendees of over 5,000 gamers, stakeholders, and anime attendees across 15 countries were treated to a variety of experiences, including energetic tournaments across various popular gaming titles, interactive free gaming zones with cutting-edge gaming technology.

Attendees were also treated to a meet-and-greets with gaming influencers and celebrities like rap artist Ladipoe, gaming influencer Khalamanja, pop star Ladipoe, Bayanni and actor Jidekene. There was something to win for everyone.
