Feature phones penetration in Nigeria hits 70%

Africa Infotech Consulting (AIC)has revealed that 70% of mobile subscribers in Nigeria use feature phones while 30% use smartphones. It added that mobile penetration in the country has hit 94 per cent.

Furthermore, the current Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof Umar Danbatta, revealed that there are 722 million mobile phones in Africa, with 127 million being smartphones.
