The Brazil 2014 world cup has come and gone. Yeah!! gone but not from our memories especially with the unexpected defeats, records sets and the frills and thrills that accompanied the sporting event.
If every one would quickly forget about the world cup, its not the Brazillians. The 2014 FIFA event will never get off the head of the Samba boys who got the rude shock of their lives during the Semi-final game against Germany. The 7-1 loss to Joachim Löw’s boys was never expected, some people termed it as a walkover but i call it a great disaster just as the Brazilian soccer legend Pele termed it.
Now if you do a Google search for “Brazil Disaster” you will get different results with various contents about how Brazil fell to the feet of the Germans. I would say that is history… to my great surprise i found out that Wikipedia has a dedicated page for the game.
The Win for Germany’s win marked the largest margin of victory in a FIFA World Cup semi-final game and also saw Miloslav Klose become the tournament’s all-time record goal scorer as he scored his 16th World cup goal, overtaking Brazil’s Ronaldo. The game also saw Germany score the most goals in the history of the World Cup as they clocked 223 going past Brazil’s 221.
