Apply Now! CcHub Funding and Design Support for COVID-19 Projects

The World Health Organization’s latest stats indicate that there are 463 COVID-19 cases in Africa and 10 confirmed deaths related to the virus. With confirmed cases in 15 African countries, the continent is in dire need of tech players who would respond to a possible coronavirus crises.

In light of the Coronavirus pandemic and its related consequences in other sectors of various economies across the globe, CcHUB is looking to fund and provide research and design support, via our Design Lab, for COVID-19 related projects.

Eligibility:

  • If you are already working on a project or have an idea, with the capability to build out the solution with available resources from CcHUB.
  • Established startups who want to create COVID-19 related projects on the side of their core-business can apply.

Eligible Projects:

These include, but not limited to, projects in the following areas: 

  • Last mile communication: educating the public and ensuring the right information reaches even remote locations.
  • Support for the infected and the most vulnerable in society.
  • Local production of essential medical supplies 
  • Support for our food value chain, from producers to consumers, in the event of movement restrictions.

Projects can be focused on a particular African country, the African continent or the world at large.

Benefits:

  • CcHub will provide $5000 to $100,000 funding blocks to companies with COVID-19 related projects.
  • The organization, and its iHub  affiliate will also open up engineering support and resources from its CcHub Design Lab to funded companies.
