Apple is getting set to launch a new generation of iPads with 12.9 inch screens. For over a year Apple has been working on its largest iPad which is significantly bigger than the current iPad and iPad mini have 9.7 and 7.9 inch screens respectively.
Over the last 6 months, sales have dropped as most customers prefer buying phablets (smartphones with larger screens) rather than the latest iPad. The 12.7 inch iPad Pro would be Apple’s attempt to bump up sales and also outdo Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1; their close rival especially within the Nigerian market.
For professionals, a bigger tablet would make working remotely and on-the go more convenient. It would be a step in the right direction considering Apple’s partnership with IBM and their plans to increase sales at the enterprise level. Both companies would offer iPads and iPhones to businesses along with preloaded enterprise-specific apps.
The iPad Pro is rumored to have 8MP camera and 24 hour battery life.
