You can crowdsource funds to help someone through a divorce using Plumfund

With divorce becoming more common and less taboo in many circles, Plumfund – a crowd-funding site recently added a ‘Divorce Registry’ category to its list of fund raising options.

According to the site, this option will give anyone an opportunity to raise funds for a loved one who is going through a divorce which would then be used in meeting any of the various expenses associated with a divorce settlement. All you’ll need to do to raise funds for a loved one via the site is “create a gift registry or divorce fund, spread the word, and your friend will soon have badly needed support in the form of divorces gifts”.

Aside for pooling cash donations from friends and family, you can also request for other gift items too by using a Plumfund wish list.

At the time of this writing, a total of 139 plumfunds have been registered in the ‘Divorce Registry’ category since it was created in March 2016. With stats like that, I think it’s safe to say people find this category useful.

Oh how the world has changed…

Wonder what my grand ma would think if I told her stuff like this existed?

I just wish a lot more people didn’t give up on their marriage like they do these days.

So what do you think about Plumfund’s ‘Divorce Registry’ category? Do you think we Nigerians would use it? Why or why not? Looking forward to your comments.
