Vincent Mabaso appointed Head of Channel – Africa, Check Point Software Technologies

Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), a global leader in AI-powered, cloud-delivered cyber security, today announced the appointment of Vincent Mabaso as Head of Channel – Africa.

Mabaso will lead Check Point’s regional channel strategy, accelerating the company’s Partner-First model and expanding delivery of its Prevention-First, unified security platform across the continent. His mandate focuses on empowering partners to help organisations reduce cyber risk, simplify operations, and innovate securely in an increasingly AI-driven economy.

Enabling Secure Digital Growth in Africa

Across Africa, organisations are modernising rapidly — expanding into cloud, SaaS, hybrid environments, and AI-powered workflows. At the same time, threat actors are becoming more automated and sophisticated.

Security leaders are under pressure to reduce complexity, gain clearer visibility into risk, and enable business growth without increasing operational burden.

Check Point addresses this challenge through a unified platform built around four strategic pillars that reflect how modern enterprises operate:

These pillars are delivered through an open, integrated platform designed to work alongside existing environments, enabling flexibility without forcing customers into a closed architecture.

Strengthening the African Channel Ecosystem

Mabaso previously served as Check Point’s Distribution Manager, where he strengthened supply chain efficiency and advanced partner enablement initiatives. His promotion reflects Check Point’s strategy of developing leaders who understand the operational realities and growth opportunities across African markets.

“The channel is central to how we deliver value to customers across Africa,” said Lorna Hardie, Regional Director: Africa at Check Point Software Technologies. “Vincent brings a deep understanding of our partner ecosystem and a clear vision for enabling organisations to secure digital transformation while maintaining the prevention-first approach that differentiates Check Point.”

Under Mabaso’s leadership, Check Point will further invest in technical training, certifications, and sales enablement to position partners as trusted security advisors capable of delivering measurable outcomes for customers.

Accelerating MSSP-Led Security Transformation

A key focus area will be expanding the Managed Security Service Provider model across Africa. As many organisations face cyber skills shortages and budget constraints, MSSPs play a critical role in delivering enterprise-grade protection with predictable costs and simplified management.

By leveraging Check Point’s unified platform across network, cloud, workspace, exposure management, and AI security, partners can deliver subscription-based services that:

“African enterprises and SMEs need security that enables growth rather than slows it down,” said Vincent Mabaso, Head of Channel – Africa at Check Point Software Technologies. “Our role is to empower partners with a unified, AI-driven platform that reduces complexity, strengthens resilience, and allows organizations to innovate with confidence.”

Strategic Priorities for the Region

To reinforce Africa’s cyber resilience and support digital expansion, Check Point will focus on:

Reinforcing Long-Term Cyber Resilience

Africa’s expanding digital economy presents significant opportunity — alongside increased exposure to AI-powered and automated threats. Through its unified platform and strengthened partner ecosystem, Check Point is helping organisations prevent attacks before impact, reduce business risk, and accelerate secure innovation.

With Vincent Mabaso leading the channel strategy, Check Point reaffirms its long-term commitment to Africa: empowering partners, enabling customers, and securing the AI-powered enterprise across every network, workspace, and cloud environment.
