Tweet and Go to Jail: A man has been arrested after an alleged threat to shoot someone in exchange for 100 retweets on Twitter. As reported by  The Los Angeles Times, the 20-year-old Dakkari Dijon McAnuff, of Los Angeles was nabbed by Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) after he posted a photo showing a rifle pointed at a Los Angeles street with the caption “100 [retweets] and I’ll shoot someone walking.”

McAnuff was tracked down in his house after LAPD officials were able to link the twitter account to him. An air rifle was recovered from  McAnuff’s home and his Twitter account has been deleted.

This event is one of many such post that have led to offline arrest. The Verge also reports that similar threats on Twitter have resulted in arrests in Spain, the United Kingdom, and Kuwait in previous past.
