Automobile tuning company, TECHART which is renowned for a well-balanced combination of high performance and endurance have announced the power boost for the Porsche Cayenne bumping its power output to 700 horsepower, all thanks to the powerkit TA058/T2.

TECHART’s TECHTRONIC engine management brings its intelligent activation of additional power resources to play by ensuring optimum performance at all speeds as well as providing a well-balanced torque curve. Techtronic has over the years been the heart of Techart’s quality powerkits, it also ensures adequate maintenance of all protection functions thereby providing a warranty for long life and stability.

The new enhancement kit allows Techtronic work together with the standard engine control unit of the Canyenne Turbo and coordinates engine interaction with the new Techart components. This enhancement kits increases the engine power of the Canyenne from the standaed 520 hp to 700 hp and a maximum torque increase from 750 Nm to 920 Nm.

Power delivery is regulated in two stages, during normal operation, 640 hp are available under full load. By pressing the Sport button (standard in all Cayenne Turbo models), the full 700 hp are unleashed between 5,400 and 6,000 rpm. The maximum torque is available from 4,400 rpm.

The new Techart components includes TECHART high performance exhaust manifolds and highly efficient TECHART turbochargers with ball bearing compressor/turbine shafts. The proprietary developed components use the exhaust energy particularly effectively. The turbochargers increase the air throughput significantly and are characterized by both, a highly dynamic response with a rapid boost pressure build-up, as well as high stability

For the TECHART-upgraded Cayenne Turbo, the gap between zero and 100 km/h is only 3.9 seconds while it accelerates to 200km/h in 13.8 seconds from standstill. Wheel/Tire combinations are in 22- and 23-inche dimension and this combination of the standard wheels and tires allows for speed regulation which prevents exceeding the 300km/h allowable limits.

Despite the significant increase in power, only marginal raise of fuel consumption and emissions have been proven. The results of the testing institute TÜV Süd certified an increase in fuel consumption of less than 1% in the assessment under the Directive Regulation (EC) 715/2007, Type 1. The CO2 emissions are only 0.8% higher than the values of the measured series model.

Techart has also made it known that the 700hp kit will debut in the new Techart Magnum which will be unveiled towards the end of the year. The Magnum is the flagship of the TECHART exterior refinement programs for the Cayenne. All Cayenne Turbo customers who opt for the new TECHART Magnum body styling can also order the new powerkit.
