OLX partners MoMo to strengthen e-commerce security

OLX, one of Nigeria’s online classified ads platforms recently partnered with Mobile Monday, a global community of mobile industry designers and developers, to organize a conference tagged “Making e-commerce more secure in Nigeria”.

The conference was held in Lagos and it served a unique opportunity for experts to share insights into ways Nigeria could make its e-commerce space more secure. One of the speakers at the event include the Country Manager, OLX, Lola Masha who emphasized that OLX had chosen to partner with MoMo and the Nigerian Police in order to continually provide a secure platform for users. She also mentioned that as a result of this partnership, the Police had recently apprehended two fraudsters on the site.

Chief Superintendent of Police, Charles Okafor added that the Police was fully committed to working with OLX to see that online fraudsters are brought to book.

Managing Director, CR Services, Jameelah Ayedun who also spoke at the event, lauded the partnership between OLX and MoMo and praised OLX for its commitment to protecting its customers.
