New BBM Update Now Allows You Retract Sent Messages

If you are not on BBM at least you have to be on WhatsApp or Facebook and if you are not on any of those, then you must be a 70 year old antisocial person who needs prayers….lol. Last week BlackBerry released a new update for its instant messaging app – Blackberry Messenger (BBM).

Babe: ‘’Hey boo’’

Bob: ‘’Sup babe?’’

Babe: ‘’What you up to?’’

Bob: ‘’Guy last night was wack!!!’’

Bob: ‘’Ooops, Sorry wrong chat’’

We’ve all been in Bob’s shoes where you send the wrong message to someone. Sometimes it can be really embarrassing. The new BBM update comes with a new feature to retract messages. So if you sent the wrong message to someone, you can retract the message before the person reads it.

Taking a cue from Snapchat, BlackBerry has also introduced timed messages. So you can send a message to someone and set the time when the message would expire. Whether or not the person reads the message, when the message expires, it cannot be seen again. The message timer can be set to a maximum of 25 seconds. Adding stickers to your BBM chats is now even quicker with a new picker.

With the latest update, there are a few other changes in the general look and feel of BBM. Android users can now show what they are listening to. However this feature did not work for me when I tried it.
