Microsoft OneDrive storage cut, could this be a mistake?

Just when I decided to max out my 15GB free storage on my OneDrive, I find out that Microsoft has reduced its free storage from 15GB to 5GB! Arggh….

Yes, Microsoft has drastically cut down OneDrive  storage space saying that a few users were found to have been abusing their unlimited cloud storage service by backing up entire DVR recordings and movie collections which exceeded 75TB in some instances.

With the new changes, users currrently using more than 5 GB of free storage will continue to have access to their files until early 2016 when all changes to storage limits will be taking effect. By that date also, any user still using more than 5 GB of storage will be offered a free one year Office 365 Personal subscription with 1TB of storage for which a credit card will however be needed.

Other changes made include the removal of the camera roll out bonus of 15 GB and the replacement of the 100 GB and 200 GB paid plans for new users with a 50 GB plan that will cost $1.99 per month. These changes too will only take effect early 2016.

Hmmnn…dear Microsoft, this thing that you people have done will cause some users like me to change ship ooo. I think you people should reconsider before its too late. I rest my case.
