Meta has introduced a new feature called Vibes, an AI-powered feed of short-form videos designed to showcase and remix AI-generated content. Launched on Thursday, the feed is available exclusively on the Meta AI app, making it the company’s latest move to push AI-driven creativity into mainstream social experiences.
Unlike traditional short-form video platforms, Vibes is focused entirely on AI-generated clips. Users can create videos by entering prompts, then remix them by changing the music, visuals, or animation style. Once created, videos can be shared directly to the Vibes feed or cross-posted across Meta’s other platforms, including Instagram and Facebook, as Reels or Stories.
What Makes Vibes Different?
Vibes replaces the Discover feed, which previously highlighted user interactions with Meta AI prompts. Instead of just showing prompts, Vibes focuses solely on AI-generated video content, making it easier for users to find inspiration and experiment with Meta’s creative tools.
Each video in the feed also displays the prompt that generated it, giving others the chance to remix or build on existing creations. For example, one viral video of muscular mountain goats leaping through snow came from a detailed text prompt describing an alpine scene.
Integration Across Meta Platforms
Meta is making it simple to share and remix videos beyond the app. On Instagram, for instance, users who see a Meta AI-generated video can instantly click and remix it through the Meta AI app. The same content can also be shared to Facebook, bringing AI-driven creativity to a much wider audience. This launch comes as Meta continues to embed AI features across its ecosystem. In recent months, the company has rolled out AI-generated images in Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, and even announced a partnership with AI image generator Midjourney
