Looks like Android N will have more support for VR

According to Ars Technica, the second Android N Developer preview that was released last week comes with a couple of references to VR. These include a β€œVR Helper” and β€œVR Listener” app respectively as well as permissions that let users know that a certain app will run when using applications in VR mode.

It is however not very clear how these features will work.

In addition to the β€œVR Helper” and β€œVR Listener” app features, Android N also comes with new emojis, a split-screen mode to enable users multi-task on a tablet as well as a 3D Touch-style pressure sensitivity.

At the moment, the Google Cardboard app is Google’s only VR product, however several sources have stated that Google is currently working on a smart-phone compatible headset as well as a standalone VR headset.
