Kuxiu S3 Power Bank: Bigger Battery, Safer Charging, and New Smart Upgrades

Kuxiu has launched the S3, its newest semi-solid state power bank, seven months after the first model (the S2) made headlines for its safer battery chemistry and long lifespan. This new version packs major upgrades, including a bigger battery, faster wireless charging, stronger magnets, and new usability features.

The S3 now comes with a 10,000mAh capacity, which is double the S2. Kuxiu says this can “nearly double” the battery life of an iPhone — though the exact results will depend on your iPhone model and usage. The battery itself uses solid-liquid mixed electrolyte technology, which is designed to be safer, more stable, and more durable compared to traditional lithium-ion batteries.

Wireless charging also gets a significant boost. The S3 supports Qi2.2, allowing compatible phones to charge wirelessly at up to 25W. This means faster, more efficient charging compared to older wireless power banks.

Because of the larger battery, the S3 is heavier — over 100g more than the 145g S2. To counter this, Kuxiu upgraded the magnet system from 16 to 18 N52 magnets, making the power bank more secure when attached to your phone. This reduces the chances of it being knocked off during use.

Kuxiu also added a set of useful new features. There’s now a built-in kickstand, a small display that shows battery percentage and charging status, and a USB-C cable integrated into the body. When using the cable, the S3 supports up to 35W fast charging, which is great for powering other devices like tablets, earbuds, or even small laptops.

The S3 is still more expensive than regular wireless power banks with a similar capacity, but there’s an important difference: battery lifespan. Most standard power banks start dropping in performance after about 300–500 charge cycles. The S3, however, is designed to maintain around 80% battery health after 1,000 cycles. This gives it a much longer usable life.

The semi-solid battery design also reduces risks associated with traditional lithium-ion batteries, such as fire, swelling, or overheating—especially if the device is dropped. The Kuxiu S3 is available for $149.98, though it is currently discounted to $68.99. While the higher price might seem steep, the improved safety, extra lifespan, and new convenience features make it a strong upgrade for anyone who wants a long-lasting and reliable power bank.
