Being able to hide posts from your Facebook page is old story, but now Facebook has added a new “Hide From Your Timeline” function that allows you to hide posts from your timeline when posting a status update from the News Feed. With this new feature, you can simply publish your content directly to your News Feed without having to bother with additional tools.
From a report whatever you exclusively publish on your News Feed will still appear in search and will be visible only to you on the “Your Posts” page. When sharing a post from your News Feed, this new Hide From Your Timeline check box is not listed, you still have the same options to share to your own Timeline, a friend’s Timeline or in a group or event.
However, the new News Feed-only posting feature is available on Facebook on the Web but not on mobile.
