ChatGPT can help you find a house with new real estate feature

The ChatGPT plugin is the latest addition to Zillow’s tech-driven approach, further simplifying the process of finding and securing one’s next home.

US real estate company, Zillow recently unveiled its partnership with ChatGPT – a ChatGPT plugin. The plugin allows users to search for houses with the assistance of ChatGPT.

Once enabled, the plugin empowers users to provide ChatGPT with their desired property specifications, such as location, price range, and number of bedrooms. Leveraging Zillow’s extensive database, ChatGPT will then present a range of suitable options for consideration.

While the plugin is currently available to a limited number of ChatGPT users, Zillow has plans to expand access in the future.

Zillow has been at the forefront of AI integration since 2006 with the introduction of Zestimate; a feature that provides an estimate of the potential value of a home for homeowners, buyers, and sellers. Zillow followed that with personalized recommendations and natural language search. David Beitel, Chief Technology Officer at Zillow emphasized Zillow’s commitment to leveraging OpenAI technology to pioneer tech innovations that enhance the home-shopping experience.

The ChatGPT plugin is the latest addition to Zillow’s tech-driven approach, further simplifying the process of finding and securing one’s next home. Zillow’s product and service lineup already showcases AI capabilities, including the neural Zestimate, computer-vision-powered rich media experiences, and AI-generated immersive floor plans.

As the ChatGPT plugin enters its alpha phase, Zillow plans to refine and enhance the user experience based on valuable feedback. OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, has implemented protective measures to minimize inaccuracies and prevent inappropriate responses. However, users should be mindful that occasional deviations from the expected experience may occur.

In a similar move, Redfin, a real estate technology firm, has introduced its own ChatGPT plugin. It allows users to ask detailed questions beyond traditional filters, such as requesting homes in trendy restaurant neighborhoods or with private backyards, based on their salary and budget. Redfin aims to provide a more personalized and tailored selection of properties for its users.
